Connection between the radar far 1528 and the AIS FA 170 device

When the far 1528 radar device was installed with the ais fa 170 device, the engineer said to connect the cable to port 4 on the ais fa 170 device, but when he looked at the pin, he found that he had connected only 4, although there were 5. He said there was no need to connect the ground pin (GND), noting that in the catalog the ground pin of fa 170 and the far 1528 pin are connected. Is what he did correct and is there no need to connect five wires to the pin?
