Hello to all, i am french, please escuse my english...
I drive a 13 meters boat with hydrojets motors Hamilton.

A technicien say to me, my transducer DFF1 does not work anymore (For information, my probe is new).
France Furuno say to me: "The new transducer BDS1, is not compatible with the Navnet VX2, is necessary to change your NAVNET VX2" :shock .

My question: Is there a transducer that can replace the DFF1 for a NAVNET VX2 (compatible) :huh ?

Thank you so much!

"good wind and good sea!" :sail

The DFF1 as well as the BBDS1 are the sounder modules, nit the transducer. (probe)
The BDDS1 is compatible with the older Navnet vx2. It will take a Furuno 10-pin transducer.

Hello,
I had the following information:

The replacement of the DFF1 by the BBDS1 results in the suppression of the image. there is only the information of the depth (the number).
Is it true?
How to find the image?
Is it this solution ?:
« It will take a Furuno 10-pin transducer ».

Thanks a lot !!!

As long as your Vx2 has newer software, we have found the BBDS1 to work exactly as a DFF1 would. It will not offer bottom discrimination or other advanced features which the Vx2 doesn't support. It would look and behave just like the DFF1 does, when used with a Vx2. Furuno USA considers the BBDS1 a DFF1 replacement for the Vx2 series. Any of the transducers listed under the DFF1 would be acceptable for connection to the sounder, in this application.
