Chart Unlock Codes Download

I just downloaded updated charts & transferred them to the SD cards in my MFDs.

When I try to "Download Codes" on my Chart Master I get a "not connected to the internet" error. However the MFD is connected to WiFi and I have tested internet connectivity by adding a way point and confirmed that it appears on my TXN software - my laptop is not on the Furuno net, nor is it connected to the same WiFi that the MFD is using.

Should I be able to use the Download Codes feature or do I need to manually download/install a file?

You should be able to use the "Download Codes" function.
Do you have an active GNSS (GPS) fix?
If that isn't working, you can have tech support send you an email with your unlock codes. In that email will be a .zuc or .zux file. Drop that on your chart cards and it will unlock your charts automatically. Just provide them with a good email address and your System ID.

Using the Chart Master ID Furuno TS generated and sent me a ZUC file.
Installed that file in the root of the Chart Master SD card & all good.
I have yet to upgrade my MFDs to the latest firmware. That may be why the Download Codes feature is not working.
