Change Fap 7011 to new Fap 7011C

Hi. I have a broken FAP 7011 control head. Can you tell me if the FAP 7011C is a direct replacement. As in plug and play. Or will I need to download software and install.

Yes the FAP7011C would be the direct replacement. You would need to update the software in the processor and the control head to the most current version. It is available under the NavPilot 711C support page along with the update instructions and a video showing how the update is done.

No the processor and new control head would need to be updated to the most current software to be compatible with each other

I have downloaded the software. USB connected and Win 10 doesn't find the Navpilot.
The instructional video mentions I may need XP or Win 7 on my computer. What is XP.

XP is an older version of windows

Windows 10 and 11 work when programming. Ensure to turn off firewalls and antivirus software that blocks your ports.
