I need to replace an old autopilot. I have a nmea 2000 network with two tztouch 2 units. Can the chart plotters control the 7002 without a 711c control head. The question is can I install the 711c kit without the control head and still use the autopilot. Just for clarity, the control heads are on backorder, but I can buy everything else.

The pilot comes with one control head regardless and as FishTech says, you must have at least the one that comes with the pilot installed to turn the system ON.
