C-Map GP1971F Issues

Got my GP1971F done and then got a C-map 4d for our area. Read the manual and did not install with power on, just added that so it isn't asked. Everytime I install it, put it in the slot, either upper or power port, I get a No Chart Found flashing. I've tried each port to no avail and put it in my laptop and items showed up in the file. Do I need to list the disc in the 1971or hit Import ? Or did I get a bad disc?

Sounds like you might have gotten a bad chip. I would recommend getting a blank card and testing your card reader by saving points to it. (must be 32GB or less) If the card test works then it sounds like you have received a bad mapping chip.

I have a buddy with a 1971 and we are going to see if the chip works on his even though the Feruno unit seems to work in all other areas.. Just want to make sure it is the chip.

Good idea to test with a know good 4D chip. Fingers crossed
