Best frequency for white fish

I was wondering if any one could help me with what is best frequency when buying transducer for cod

It all depends how deep that you are planning to fish.? For a shallow cod fishery, you can use anywhere between 145-175 kHz frequency, and for the deeper cod fishery (black cod), anywhere between 28-50 kHz.

Normally fish 70 fathom to 110 fathom I thought the different frequencies was for different fish for example 50 khz haddock 28 khz cod 200khz spur dogs. Should any frequency mark cod then?

For that working depth for cod, I would use a 42-65 kHz Transducer.

A typically 1kW Low Frequency (42-65 kHz) Transducer should be able to provide you with a maximum depth of around 2000' or 333 fathoms.
