Bbds1 or dff uhd

Hi I'm a commercial lobster Fisher.
I just bought maxsea timezero pro and I'm interested in the pbg aspect of it and the bottom discrimination.
Dff3d would be the ultimate route for me I think but I'm concerned about the mounting options of the transducer on a down east lobster boat.
So I was wondering what system and transducer would work best for the seafloor mapping and bottom discrimination. The bbds1 or df uhd?
I read a post somewhere once that the uhd would do bottom discrimination deeper then the bbds1 is that true?
Would like to get some discrimination accuracy down close to 100 fathom if possible.
I'm not that concerned about marking fish either.
Thanks

Doggydogg,
We haven't compared the BBSD1 against the UHD for bottom classification. Since the BD mode uses both frequencies I think your max depth for classification is around 60-70fm.

I'm about to pull the trigger on one.
What is the difference? One has chirp and one doesnt?
Do they both function the same in timezero?

Just wondering what the difference between the transducers for the bbds1 are?
