B744V connected to TZT3 16

Hello. Got an issue with B744V connected directly to a TZTouch 3 16" using a 12p to 10p adapter cable.
With the bottom discrimination ON, I'm getting false depth readings that are hundreds of meters higher.
With bottom discrimination OFF, depth readings become normal.
Why does this happen? It's been happening ever since it was installed.

Can you verify that the transducer that you are using for your TZT16F is indeed the 525STID-MSD 50/200kHz 600 Watt Transducer..? When using the Bottom Discrimination feature, both of the transducer's frequencies are utilized to analyze the seabed. So, that if you are using the wrong transducer that doesn't feature the right elements in that transducer, then the Bottom Discrimination is not going to be accurate. Also keep in mind, that Bottom Discrimination operates between 16-328 ft (5-100 meters) and the speed has to be less than 10 knots.
