Auto pilot which one? Confused

Can't really seem to tell the differences between all of these auto pilots. Here's my set up.
28 ft Southport with twin 300 Suzukis. Steering is single cylinder Seastar system. Which one of the autopilots should I be considering and why?

Hello,

The Navpilot 711C and Navpilot 300 are similar Navpilots but there are some differences. Are you looking to connect your autopilot to your chart plotters? If you are, are you primary running NMEA0183 or NMEA2000?
 
Hey Kicker thanks for the reply. I am in the process of updating my electronics. My current set up is original to the boat (2006). I currently do not have any autopilot. My MFD is a Furuno Navnet VX2 RDP-149. I'd like to add the autopilot this year and then replace the older MFD and radar next year with the newer TZtouch2 and NXT radar. My current MFD and Radar work great and I do not need to replace at this time. I would like to connect the autopilot to the chart plotters, if not this version (Navnet VX 2) then surely when I upgrade to the TZtouch2. As far as NMEA183/2000, I have no idea what my current system uses. My guess is whatever was suitable in 2006.

So if you wanted to add autopilot now with your VX2 system, it would be best to go with a Navpilot 711C, as it has NMEA0183 input/output ports.

If you were going to update your MFD's now to a TZT2, you could use the Navpilot 300 or 711C because they both have NMEA2000 ports. Navpilot 300 is primary only a NMEA2000 autopilot.
 
Another question, can I put in the Nav 300, and will it function as a stand alone unit? Then hook it up via NMEA when I upgrade the MFD ?
 
No you cannot because you need heading data to run our pilot and there is not away to connect heading device to the processor of the Navpilot 300.

The Navpilot 711C could work as standalone.
 
It is included but it doesn't connect directly into the Navpilot processor like you have the option to on the Navpilot 711C processor.
