AIS Receiver FA-30 error

My FA-30 AIS rcvr connected to my NavNet vx2 system is now displaying a continuous red light in the "Error" window. I have checked the connections and swapped out the ethernet cable and switched from the shared VHF antenna to a standalone rubber ducky with no success. Is it possible that Furuno repair can take this in for examination?

If you have a Vx2, I think it would be better to consider a newer unit like the FA40 or FA70. They can evaluate it but based on the troubleshooting and the constant error light; I would suspect the board would require replacement with the cost near that of a new unit. If you decide to send it in, here is the address.

Furuno Service

Sorry to hear that it seems to have failed.

Yes both offer 0183 output that can be wired to the Vx2 as long as the port is open. (data1 of 7" vx2 or port 2 of Vx2)
