AIS Connected to TZTouch2

Looking to pull the trigger on dual TX touch 2 15".
Want to connect AIS on MFD. Does the MFD store boats on my MFD. Have people in fishing club, and we keep close tabs on each other.

Pg 13-9 of the operator's manual explains how to add "buddies" using AIS target information.

The new software due in the next week or so will also add a cloud feature that lets you share location information with your friends if you wish via wifi update. It is pretty cool.

OK, got that. But how many can I permanently save on the mfd's.

Your question isn't clear to me. If you save them as a buddy, it is saved and stored in the unit. It will get backed up when you save/backup your settings so if you ever need to restore after a software update. Unlike your normal AIS targets/list, the buddy list will be stored and kept as you create them.

Is there a program in the MFD that stores boat that have AIS. So when I'm out on the water, they come up as a different color or shape on my chartplotter.

No, AIS shapes are colors are standardized and predefined by class type.

So how many buddies can be stored on the TZT2 ??
Also, how do you know were your buddy boats are. Is there something that tells you that there nearby, or a different look from the other AIS vessels near me?

It will store 10 "Buddies"
