Adjusting the range on the Sounder

So coming from a FCV-585 I liked the ability to adjust the sounder to whatever depth I'd like to see. When offshore we focus on the top 40 fathoms of water. I've tried to set the TZ Touch 2 by zooming on the bar on the screen, yet it always goes back to the entire depth which can be extremely deep offshore.

1. How do I set the unit to look at just 0-40 fathoms?

I've tried turning off "auto range" and it still zooms for a few seconds then goes back to looking at the bottom in 3000' of water which is useless.

Thanks

Anyone?
How do you set the range on a TZ Touch 2? I want to see 0-40 fathoms at all times. Not just the zoom. Thanks

Elgatodos,
No issues adjusting the range to view just the top 40 fathoms of the water column using 6.21 SW. Note that this test was done in my shop with the transducer shooting in air. By doing this the internal sounder will go into a search TX mode looking for the bottom. If it was going to change ranges, this is the mode it would have done it in.

Ok, so how to I manually set the search depth? What bottom do I push, or slide or click or swipe?? I don't see a "
range" option in any menu. Thanks

Elgatodos,
Either way pitch to zoom or expand, or use the slider control on the side.

Ok. O'll give it a try next time we were out. That is exactly what I did, and it would zoom to the shallower scale, which I did not want, then after a few seconds go back to trying to look at the bottom in 200 fathoms. Maybe it's the old software that doesn't allow you to adjust the scale.
