adding 3d MFD to TZtouch2

Can I add a 3D series MFD to my TZtouch2 network?

If so what will be the limitations? I believe the Nema2000 network cable can not join the the two MFD so does that mean the second 3D display will not have Nema data?

Bigcat,
No, there is no compatibility with Navnet3D and TZTouch2 systems.
If both Navnet3D and TZTouch2 are in the same network, you will run into major discrepancies and/or major failures in the system.
Do not connect or try to interface a Navnet3D system with a TZtouch2 system.

Thanks for the reply. I have a MFD14 at the helm but feel this radar display will be better placed at the nav station.

I'm looking for an affordable used plotter to put in its place. Can I at least look for TZT1 displays?

I suppose I can put any plotter there and share waypoints through Nema2000 but would a 3D or VX2 give me any more functionality?

Yes TZT (one) can network correctly with the NavNet 3D.

Can TZt1 network with TZt2? I already own TZt2.

Ideally when building a system it is best not to mix systems unless you have a real need.

NN3D + TZT1 = OK
TZT1 + TZT2 = OK
NN3D + TZT2 = NO WAY
