farmer56 back again one quick question about transducers for the fcv 628 ... will both the p66 and tm 258 support all the functions the 628 has to offer ... rez ,accu , bottom etc. .... also anybody out there know how this unit compares with a 1999 lowance x-85 .... as always hope this finds you all well ... farmer56 out

Thank you for your inquiry.
The B258 or Furuno Part Number: 525TID-BHD is not compatible for Rez-Boost or Bottom Discrimination. The beam angles for this transducer or not conical they are elliptical so Accu-Fish will not likely work all that well either.
You also might try posting your question comparing the two products on a different forum that is not moderated by Furuno
The hull truth usually has plenty of folks willing to share their opinions.
