Hi guys

I just wired up my 295 to a tm265lh, I know you shouldn’t have your transducer on out of the water but I fired up the unit and it comes up saying “the transducer setting is not appropriate. Please set the transducer appropriately”
Have I wired it up wrong or is it because the transducers out of the water?

Cheers
Nathan

Nathanb,

First, ensure that you have the correct FCV295's Tap Settings for the TM265LH, and those should TAP Settings should be: "A" for the Low Frequency, and "A" for the High Frequency.

Once you apply the unit's TAP Settings, then power on the unit while holding the MENU key and wait for it to "beep", you should the see the warning: "The transducer setting is not appropriate, Please set the Transducer". You can then press any key and the transducer setting menu appears, go ahead and set the FCV295 for the correct transducer. ;)
