1971 F not working with Navionics Platinum +

I can't get my Navionics Platinum + micro SD chip to work in my Furuno 1971.

The WIFI update wouldn't work so I updated to the latest Furuno software (5.4) via micro SD, but the GPS still doesn't work...

Do I need to do something once I boot the unit up to get it working?

Back up all your points and routes and do a memory clear on the GP1971f. After the memory clear the first time you turn it on you can pick NAVIONICS as the charts and it will boot into that mode.

While it shouldn't hurt it, it is always a good idea to remove the chip before starting the clearing process.
NEVER remove or install a chart or memory when the unit is turned ON, always turn the unit off first.
