RDP-139 MFD with XN12A-RSB-0070-059 radar antenna
We bought a boat with a Furuno 1943 Navnet system. The boat screen got wet and went black, I replaced the unit with one of the same model number (RDP-139) so far everything is working except for the radar.
I read the the owners manual and set the Antenna to “G” for the radar I have. I went a 1/2 mile offshore and ran the radar tuning and the video tuning.
Still all I get form the radar is noise. I have the gain set at 50% and everything else turned off. It will occasionally pick up a channel marker with a long trail behind it but won’t even pick up the shore line. Just noise.
At this point I’m not sure if the radar is bad or if it’s just a settings issue. I appreciate any help.
