Is the Dual Freq Transom Mount TM260 Transducer compatible with the 1871? I'm currently using a Chirp TM185M Transducer, but it does not perform well for me in the depths that I fish in (130-180 fathoms). Even with my motor off, and the boat in a dead stop drift, the 1871 can tell me how deep it is, but the bottom display is broken up. Anything 100 fathoms or shallower, and the unit is ok.
I'm pretty sure the TM260 will do much better in deep water, but it doesn't show up in the compatibility list for the 1871. Can I use this on the 1871?
