When I installed my 1834C in 2008 my stand alone depth sounder was working well and I didn't need to have that information on my 1834C. Now the standalone is failing and I'd like to add a transducer to the boat to put the depth data on my unit.

I'm having difficulty finding which transducer will plug into the 1834C. I want to go with an in-hull unit. The 5k20 IHD appears to be what I need but it has a 10 pin plug and I don't see a 10 pin connector on the back of the 1834C. Do I need an adapter also, or it there another transducer I should be looking at?

The 1834C does not have a built-in transceiver. You would need to add a DFF1 to the network in order to replace your stand alone sounder.

If you search our website for the DFF1 you will find a list of compatible transducers.
