1832 Lines on Display

I have a Model 1832 4kw 36 mile radar that came on my 47' sailboat when I bought it in 2007. It has worked fine since. Recently there have developed lines running from the center of the screen in straight lines to the screen edge. The problem has been intermittent, but recently they have appeared consistently. The unit shows 2300 hrs. so the Magnetron may be tired. I'm also suspicious of the plug that is used to detach the antenna cable that lies near the base of the mast. I am considering splicing the wires together and ditching the plug.

Does it still happen if you disconnect the antenna cable? A dealer could come to the boat with a radar signal generator to test the display. If it works with the signal generator, then you know the problem is in the cable or dome. That's where I would start.
