1815 Radar

I just purchased a 1815 stand alone radar.( Have not installed it yet) I currently have a NAV NET TZtouch 2 hooked up to a point 1 heading sensor. Do I connect the TZtouch2 to the new 1815 radar? If so, how do I go about doing that? What will I need? Just want to have everything I need to get this up and running.
Thanks,

It depends on what you want the TZT2 to provide the radar with. The TZT2 does offer a NMEA 0183 output which you could wire to the 1815 NMEA 0183 input.

You need heading and position for that. The TZT2 isn't a direct source of heading but could pass it as long if it has access to good heading. There is no NMEA cable to order. The TZT2 has 0183 on the provided multi pigtail and the 1815 has NMEA wires on the power data cable.

I have a point one hooked up now to the TZTouch 2. Would that work? ( I know it not very good) If not, can you advise what I should get. I am going to add a Furuno 711C auto pilot next,( Probably next year) so what would be my best option? Thanks again for your advise and time.

The point one should work. The performance will be much better once the pilot is in place with the better heading source.
