Currently have a TZT3 12" withh DFF3D utilizing the 165T-50/200-TM260 transducer and a separate B60 to the internal sounder. B60 is installed forward of the step (Caymas 28HB) and good for running at speed. Would like to be able to run the 50/200 from the transom mount, manually switching from the B60, for deeper water. The TM transducer uses a 10 pin connection. Some places in the installation documentation say that it will require the MB1100 others say that a 10 pin to 12 pin adapter (Furuno 000-197-069-10) will work if it's a diplexted transducer but I can't find that info for the transducer. Has anyone tried to hook up without the MB1100 successfully? Would much rather avoid the extra hardware if it's an option.

The 165T-50/200-TM260 uses a diplexed transducer. You will only need the 10pin to 12pin adapter cable included with your TZT12F.
Please be sure to turn power off whenever disconnecting or connecting the transducers. Check the the TD-ID properly switches identification as well in he transducer setup menu under the fish finder menu.

Perfect, thank you. Unfortunately mine didn't come with that adapter, only a 10 pin to bare wire pigtail. Wish i would have realized that earlier. Mine's a couple years old now. Live and learn. It looks like they're available online. 000-197-069-10 is the part, correct?

Yes, that is the correct part.
