Hello. I have a used 1623 set up new to me that I recently reinstalled. The display and antenna are working and all checks out using the internal diagnostics. I tested the unit prior to installing and the ebl was sweeping and capturing images. After my installation the ebl is not sweeping and capturing any image. The antenna is rotating and I can change all the settings on the display etc. after a pretty complicated mounting and installation I’m at a loss what to do next. Thx.

Try holding the alarm key down to cancel the guard zone that is set, re: G (OUT). Also, turn off interference rejection by going to Menu-Int Rejection and choose off from the options. Then, try turning gain all the way up...Do you see noise all over the screen or does it still look blank like your picture? If blank, then check the video wire connection (especially if you have a splice point in the radar cable).
not sure why I didn’t try fiddling with the antenna cable originally but I did tonight. After loosening it up a bit near the display connection and bending back and forth a bit the unit started operating correctly. Right near the connector covered by a clear sleeve I noticed two nicks in the wire. Haven’t opened it up yet and Doesn’t look like much but guessing one of the wires is barely connected. Any tips on repairing one of these wires inside ? Solder or solder-less conector?
