Good morning Crimson Tide,

Thank you for your inquiry. A couple things to note, the version of software you are using is about 5 versions old. So moving forward you certainly do not have to update the software, this would be our recommendation if you a currently in the middle of the cruise. But if you are stationary for a while in your location you could certainly try to update to the latest version of software. The RDP139 NavNet1 series MFD has a couple of different types when regarding the chart cards they can display. Your unit based on the program number you provided below indicates that your unit is a C-Map unit. The latest version of software for the C-Map unit is version 20. The software can be loaded via a laptop computer, we also recommend using an off the shelf network Hub which will make the process much easier. So if you have a laptop and an Ethernet cable you would plug your computer into the hub. Next you will need a network cable that fits into the network port of your RDP139. One end would go onto the Network Port the other end would go into the hub.

Below I will provide a couple of links, one for the software history to show what is avaible is you decide to update. There will be a link for update instructions and one for the software to download. Please take a look at the software instructions and make sure you are familiar with the setup. If you decide to update the software you can download it from the link below.
