582L

Hey everybody
Been looking at a boat I may buy. It has all kinds of goodies. It's a little older but very well maintained. Anyway it has a 582L on it and seems it's not produced anymore. 2 questions, first, when did they stop producing it. And the second is what would be a comparable replacement if the old girl goes south on me?

I would guess that the FCV-582L has been out of production for around 10 years. It was followed by the FCV-585, then 587 and now the FCV-588. Your existing 10-pin can be used with the FCV-588, however depending on the transducer you have it may not support the ACCU-FISH and Bottom Discrimination modes of the FCV-588.
