GP1850WF Sounder setting

Recently sent my GP1850WF in for service(order 994058), replaced dead internal battery. I knew I would lose waypoints and such. However, I also lost all sounder settings. I fish primarily in shallow(10-60) feet of water. Bottom is mostly sand and mud.

My sounder no longer shows the bottom unless I’m stopped or over hard bottom. I have an Airmar B45 transducer. I’ve tried making various changes but none seem to work properly.

Any recommended sounder settings for my conditions?

Thanks
Paul

Try taking the unit to manual (not fishing or cruising mode) and change the range to twice the water depth; then adjust your gain high enough to develop a second echo at double the real depth. Then change the range scale to the normal depth, placing the bottom structure at the bottom of your screen. Run the boat and see what you get. You will need to manually control the range scale as you get deeper or more shallow. If that doesn't work; then it sounds like the transducer might have a problem. I would recommend inspecting the face for any marine build up.
