NavNet display RDP 143/ Net work sounder ETR-6/10N. Connected NEMA to GP-7000 for temp and depth readings only. Temp reading on GP-7000 displayed on at start up then cycles on and off every minute or so ?

RDP-143, data port #3, NEMA blue to green on GP-7000 NEMA 1 port
RDP-143, data port #3, NEMA white to yellow on GP-7000 NEMA 1 port
GP-7000 NEMA black / white to VHF & Floscan.
RDP-143 used for only fish finder & radar due to outdated cartography.
GP-7000 chart plotter for it's C.P. capabilities.
Radar # NavNet 1763C

Thank You, Clay

It has been incorrectly wired.
Data 3 output on the RDP143 is RS232 NMEA level for connecting to a PC.
Data 1 input you are using on the GP7000 is Marine level NMEA RS422 port.
You should not mix NMEA levels without a proper converter (RS232 to RS422)

The GP7000 has an RS232 port (PC/NMEA in) is not being used for something else?

It really should be data 3 of the RDP143 to the PC/NMEA in of the GP7000.
