A friend of mine has a Garmin 7612 XSV and he was showing me a software package on his laptop that allowed him to enter waypoints, routes, etc. and he could see the location on a nautical chart on his computer. Once he was finished entering new points, he could then download the points to a memory stick and load them onto his chartplotter.
I have a TZT2. Is there a software package for Furuno that does this same thing? Really nice being able to add points, change names, update, etc. while sitting on the couch at night.
