gp1670f power cable

Hello, I want to use gp1670f unit on two boats. My local dealer can not provide me the original power cable "176-666-10". Is power cable "000-135-397" (both of them has 3 pin connector) compatible with the item. If i cant provide a power cable; i am planning to cut the power cable leaving original 3 pin connector on the unit with 10 inches cable pigtail. Solder another 3 pin waterproof male connector (automobile type or outdoor led waterproof connector) to the cable ends Connect power to the unit via a cable which ends with soldered waterproof 3 pin female connector rigged on each boat. I will take the unit from one boat with the power cable pigtail, when i go to my another boat connect transducer and new 3 pin power connection to main units power pigtail. Is this solution works? Do you have any suggestions?

I don't understand why your dealer can't provide another power cable.
The part number is 000-176-666-10. Ask your dealer to order it or look for another dealer. :wink7 It certainly be the best way to accomplish your task.
