Port question for 7" VX2

Port question for 7" VX2

Postby jennyleigh » Tue Jul 04, 2017 9:25 am

I want to send position data from my 10" VX2 to my 7" VX2.

The 7" VX2 data 2 port I know is only for heading.

Which port can I use to listen to the 10" VX2? The only 6 pin port I see is the network port.

Thanks!!

Yes, networking the two units is the best way to share data between the 10.4" and the 7".

Johnny,
When networking I have a nmea talker cable going from the 10" VX2 to my sounder and radar. I want to use this same talker wires to send position to my 7" VX2 if possible but what port do I connect it to on the 7" VX2? I only have the 7 pin data ports or the 6 pin network port available.

Thanks,

If you have two displays and a network sounder to connect; the normal configuration would be to have a network hub. Each device connects to the network hub allowing them to talk together via the network port.
