1623 sweep pause with Video

Hi,

I have a 1623 Radar that powers up fine but as we transmit the radar can not build targets as it sweeps and looks to be acquiring targets then nothing and eventually gives a very quick No Heading Pulse. I took off the top of the radome and it stops rotating ever 7-11 seconds but the belt doesn't appear to slip. Connection at the back of the LCD display is tight.

Diagnostics give an antenna NG but I think it is pointing to external gps antenna which can be added not the radome.

Any ideas of what the problem might be?

Judging by the video that you have provided, it appears that there is a faulty Motor/Assy and simply needs to be replaced. You can send it to Furuno USA Inc. and they can replace the Motor/Assy and then retest the unit live.

Remove the Dome/Assy and send it to:
