FR 8062 radar with IF-1500 not able to display AIS MOB devic

Dear All

I have a FR8062 radar hooked up with a IF-1500 displaying normal AIS ship targets but not able to display any AIS MOB devices.

Has anyone any solution to this?

What is the AIS Unit that is currently connected to your FR8062/IF1500..?

And is that AIS Unit showing the AIS-MOB (AIS SART) Devices..?

The ais is a em trax class b ais and also we have use different ais. The ais itself recieiving the ais mob devices just not showing up on the radsr through the interface. There are propietary ais messages from the interface so it shouldnt be the interface.

After doing some checking, it is quite possibly due to the age of the unit (the FR8XX2 series radar was first introduced back in 2006), that the current software used for the FR8XX2 may not be able to display these newer versions of the AIS-SART targets and symbols, as it was written to display the older version AIS targets only.

The latest software version available is for the FR8XX2 was the V 1.18 and was released back in 2009, and it added AIS class B target display. However, Version 1.18 FR8XX2 software must be combined with IF-1500AIS version 2.04 software.

Even if you have both these versions of software, it may or may not display the AIS-SART...
