1715 display has no back light

The radar unit is about 10 years old and very lightly used. Just noticed recently that there is no backlighting at all on the LCD display. Otherwise everything works fine except I recently replaced power cord due to intermittent unit shutting off. The fuse has never been blown and all the polarity was correct with rewiring. There is no response to brll adjustment bUT contrast is fine and you can read the display during the day. Any ideas and would this be a fixable problem. Thanks

The Service Center will contact you concerning cost and billing after the unit has been evaluated. The Service Center has a $100 evaluation fee for out of warrantee items, but they will apply that towards the repair cost, if you choose to have it repaired.
