DRS4d not detected by MFD8

HI ,
This is a great site to support furuno users.
Am quite new here,
Hope anyone can help me isolate or fix my issues.

I bought a brand new drs4d to hook up to my old MFd8 nn3d system.
But up to now can not use the radar,
we have checked and confirmed there is power going in to the radome and the problem is the MFD 8 just does not detect it.

Where or what else should i be checking ?

Most common is that the scanner cable (RJ45) got damaged during the install. Run a standard network cable from the radar directly to the MFD8 (keeping the power as is) and then run the wizard. You should see Radar 1 when the wizard does it's search.
