Exporting waypoints to SD Card

Been having trouble exporting my VX2s waypoints to an SD Card. My trouble seems to be w/ the VX2 reading/writing to the empty formatted card as it will either lock up or not see that there is a card in the slot. It registers and sees my C-Map card and charts fine but doesn't seem to export points to that card either. Is the VX2 hypersensitive to the card type? I formatted it w/ SD Card software.

I suspect that you might be using a SD Card that is larger than 2GB. It must be 2GB or less for use with the VX2 regardless of programming, Any larger SD Card will simply not work.

2GB cards are plenty big enough for backup files and doing upgrades, and they normally cost about $4 from companies like newegg.com, TigerDirect.com etc..

The card is 256 MB. I suppose I will buy a 1 or 2 GB card and try that. Alternatively can one use an ethernet cable and some form of Furuno software to read it?

Did you get it to work?
