Import waypoints from Spreadsheet to vx2

Sorry, tried to search for the answer and can't find what I need. Here is the situation:

I had a Furuno 1942 MKII that I really liked everything about except for the CRT HUGE monitor. Recently I purchased a RDP-149 and replaced the CRT monitor with this unit. The RDP-149 is a multi-function display. I connected it to my radar, added a 320B antenna and the latest CMAP SD card for the Gulf of Mexico and inland rivers. That CMAP card came with about 350 or so waypoints preloaded. Ultimately, I would like to download the preloaded waypoints and edit them...some of the waypoints (oil rigs) no longer exist. I would like to have my own personal waypoints combined with the edited preloaded waypoints that came on the cmap card.

I store all of my personal waypoints (in spreadsheet format) on my pc. I would like to import those numbers into the RDP-149.

Here are my questions:
1. My radar open array antenna was not changed, I only changed the monitor to the RDP-149. What is my system called now? Is it the 1844C? I would like to print the manual.
2. What is the best program to use to convert the waypoints stored in the spreadsheet into the new vx2 system?
3. After converting these waypoints do I save them to the cmap card or do I purchase a new sd card and save them to this new card for importing purposes?
4.

If possible, please give me detailed instructions on the best method to accomplish this task. I am computer literate. I have tried searching this board and googling the answer and I could spend the next year chasing rabbits that never give me enough detail to accomplish this task.

Thanks,
Tom Stewart

Your radar system is now called the 1944C/NT.

I recommend you talk the support at http://www.Andren.com about your points. I am pretty sure they offer support for spreadsheets.

After merging your points, I would put them on a different card to be safe because saving on the same card will overwrite the existing. 1 and 2 GB cards are cheap. They cost about $4 at http://www.newegg.com or http://www.tigerdirect.com.

Any instructions are best from the PC software program you choose. Andren is good about their SeaMarks program.
