Do I have this option or do I need a VX2 ?
Bligh,
You must have a C-map version of the Vx2 or the NavNet 3D to support the Sirius weather receiver. (Either BBWX1 or BBWX2) The NavNet series one does not support AIS or Sirius weather. You might discuss the option of replacing your NN1 display with a same size Vx2 unit to update your system. Since the size/case is the same, everything would be plug_and_play from your existing system.
