MFD12 arpa auto acquire

Hi all, I have installed a MFD12 with the DRS25A and got heading coming in. The manual says I can track 30 targets auto or manual but at this time I can only get 15 targets to auto acquire. I do this by setting up the guard zones. Can this unit auto acquire 30 targets? Is there some settings to change?

It is rare to see anyone take the auto ARPA to the max limit but I haven't had any reports of it only auto acquiring 15. On the contrary, we had a customer on this forum complain that it was auto acquiring and filling up all 30 targets before he could use manual to acquire moving targets manually.

If you find yourself stretching the limits on a regular basis the commercial radars like the FAR2117 might be a better choice. They are designed for 100 targets.
