Hello . what is the differnce as function between navnet tztl 12 and furuno gp 1971 diffence between the 2 pollsters. with the new update tztl 12 the sonar will have the same function as that of the furuno gp 1971 merçi

The GP1871F/GP1971F is the new unit that replaces the GP1870F. It is a Chart Plotter, Fish Finder (Conventional and Chirp), including the ability for Radar (when connection to the 1st Watch Wireless Radar DRS4W as required). It can also accept a AIS (connection to AIS sensor required) and utilizes C-MAP 4D Charts only.

It does inherit from the NAVNET TZtouch2 the “quick-page, and slide-out menu abilities” but is not part of the TZTouch2 line.

The 1971 is not for sale and the full information is not yet available. It depends on if you are looking for Chirp or not. The 1971 can conduct Chrip when the TZT2 sounder can not. They are so different it would be hard to compare. The TZT2 is a full MFD supporting many network items when the 1971 is more of a stand alone chart plotter/sounder unit.

They both contain a 1kW Rezboost sounder. The 1971 also has a single channel 1kW chirp.
