TZTouch2 integrating Navpilot 511

TZTouch2 integrating Navpilot 511

Postby Jpirino » Mon Feb 05, 2018 2:10 pm

I am replacing my RPD-139 with the TZTouch2 and would like to control the autopilot through the new unit. I have purchased the Nmea2k2 to convert the 0183 to nmea2000. So my questions are:

What information would I want to share between the units?

Also is there anything else I should consider when making the switch to the new unit?

I am aware my Radar will not be compatible or the black box sounder. I will be selling those items off to re-coup some funds. All are in excellent condition. Any advice would be appreciated...

The TZT2 has 0183 output wires so you should be able to drive the pilot without the converter. If you use the converter, you will need to connect up a NMEA 2000 backbone to support the converter and the MFD.
