Recently had to swap my TZT2-15 which was the chart master for my TZT2-12.
The unlock code for the charts worked at that time.
After the swap I got a new unlocking code from the supplier and the map on the TZT2-15 works fine. The TZT2-12 refused to see the new unlocking code. I found out that the -15 had newer software so I updated the software on the -12 to the same 4.01 version. Still the -12 refuses to see the unlocking code. The charts as well as the new unlocking code file are on the SD card in both units.
I tried any possible sequence in booting the units and even resets but nothing helped.
To test what is happening I entered the unlocking code from the old -15 in the -12 and now the map is working but on the old code. This is not the right way as I have to purchase other maps as well.
How can I force the -12 to read the new chart master id and unlocking code.
All other systems like radar, DFF1, AIS communicate well on both units as does the NMEA2k.
