Chart Capacity Limit on External Reader

The OP Manual in para. 9 [File Operations] says that the USB limit is 32GB for 'file operations". The current US Chart Card [ver. 7.31] has a 128GB capacity and latest version is filled with 118GB of data. The SDU-001 external micro SD card reader plugs into the USB port.
1. Will the TXT2 read charts from the external reader if no micro SD card is in the back of the machine?
2. Is the SDU-001 card reader limited to a micro SD card of 32GB, or can it be loaded with a card with the full 118GB of current chart data?
3. Will the TXT2 read 118GB of charts on a USB flash drive connected to the USB port?

Reading the card from the USB will be a tad slower than via the back of the unit. Ideally, you want to customize your charts and delete anything you figure you will never use or buy a licence for. More data does have an impact on the time it takes to index and read the loaded charts. With that said, the manual is wrong in respect to the chart memory overall size via the USB. It could be the largest single file that they are referring to, not sure. I tested it with 128GB via the SDU001 = Works. I tested a 128GB map chip via a USB thumb drive into the usb port = Works. The MFD is flexible in that respect but you are always better off minimizing the charts to what you need. Although we load the entire western hemisphere; doesn't mean you have to keep them all loaded on that card.
