Heading loss on TZTBB

Snark

New member
Hi,
I have a customer with a TZTBB which is getting its 10hz HDT via Gyro > IFNMEA2N2K.
Now +/- every week or so he is getting a " Heading Loss" alarm . this pops up for a few seconds and then goes away by itself

we are going to troubleshoot this by monitoring the 10HZ signal and making sure the N2K bus is OK. but I am told there is a "Sensitivity Interval" setting on the TZTBB we can adjust to make the TZTBB Alarms less sensitive to <10HZ HDT streams??
does anyone know if a setting like this exists?

thanks
Andre

No such setting.
You don't need to worry about the Hz rate of the heading unless you are running NMEA 0183 with the NN3D or autopilot. The TZtouch gets heading by NMEA 2000 and any rate heading thru the converter will ensure the correct PGN data is on the bus. You are looking at a completely different issue. Tell me more about what you have on your install. Are you running the most current software 4.02 on all units?
