TZTouch Backwards Compatibility with NMEA0183

I would like to replace older Furuno MFDs/radar (1834C radar with RDP-149 display; GP1920C) with two TZ touch displays and the DRS4DNXT radar. My concern is with backwards integration to existing sensors. I have an FCV-582L from which I pull depth data for the displays - the touch series does not appear to support the NMEA 0183 DBT sentence. Also, it is unclear if I can continue to utilize my existing FA150 AIS receiver. Any help?

You can use the older items with a few extra accessory items. You would need a NMEA 0183 to NMEA 2000 converter like the Furuno IF-NMEA2k2. In this case it sounds like you need two of them. One unit setup in AIS mode to bring over your AIS data from the FA150 and then another for bringing in depth from your FCV582L. This would leave you an open output on the one of the converters in case you wanted to drive a VHF or autopilot.
