Is the FA 50 compatible with the VX2 units? i'm guessing yes but the VX2 will not program the FA 50.
Absolutely correct. The Vx2 can use the FA50 on the network or via NMEA 0183. The FA50 MMSI and boat name would need to be setup first with a PC by following the steps in the manual.
