cellular boosting antenna on mast above radar antenna

We have a Yamaha 30 sailboat. I am adding a cellular boosting antenna for better cell voice, and data reception. Is there any issue with placing the new antenna within a foot above the Furuno radar antenna on the mast?
Thanks all.

A foot is a bit close in my opinion. If the radar is solid state I would say no. If it is a magnetron based radar then you might be able to get by with it. Ideally I would suggest 10 feet and outside of the radar beam.

Thank you Johnny. Wilson Amplifiers, the cellular antenna manufacturer, recommended the same 10 foot distance. I will place it on the solar arch. The arch already has the GPS antenna on it, so now must I keep the cellular antenna on the opposite side of the 5 foot arch?

You want it out of the radar beam and not near you GPS or you risk damaging it too. GPS is listening for small sat signals. If you blast it with cell data and bust the eardrums then the GPS won't be happy.
