Furuno 711C- Sabiki Mode

Good afternoon,

We made our first trip with our new 711C NavPilot yesterday. The pilot worked great, even in rough seas. One of the features that sold us on the 711c was the "Sabiki Mode" capability.

We worked with Furuno Tech support to make sure that the TZT2 and 711c were networked properly. Everything seems to be working right, but when we try to activate Sabiki Mode, we are getting an error message that says "No Speed Data". This is odd because we can see vessel speed on the navpilot. The 711c and TZT2 are both brand new, so I wouldn't expect it to be a software issue. Below are some details on the boat and system setup:

- Contender 33T with twin 350 outboards
-TZT2 (using internal GPS antenna)
-711c Unit and Processor
-PG 700 heading sensor
-All Components Communicating through N2K
-Fantum Feedback is activated

Do you guys have any idea why the Sabiki Mode isn't working? I will be on the boat tomorrow morning and can check the PGN Output on both units as well as any other settings that may be causing this issue.

I am looking forward to your feedback.

Thanks!
-Dan

Go to the install menu and then parameter setup.
At the bottom of the list is Speed Calculation. Make sure it is set to SOG.
