Handheld water ingress number

We are looking at using a handheld on the upper helm that is exposed - Nav Pilot 702, Model #: FAP7021. I wonder if you might provide the IP Code, International Protection Marking level for water ingress for this instrument? Is there a better solution for an upper, exposed, helm?

IP56 is the rating of the 720 control unit.

You might also consider the FAP7822 remote junction box. This would allow you to easily disconnect the control unit for storage when not being used.

Thanks so much for the prompt response! The remote junction box is a great suggestion.

One more question:
Is the IP56 the rating for the moveable handheld control unit or the stationary main box control unit?

The Navpilot 700, 711C, and the 720 control units are all rated to IP56.
