The 526T-HDD will work with the TZT3, you will just have to use the 10 pin to 12 pin adapter that comes with the unit.
I don’t have much experience with the internal sounder of the TZT3 yet since it's a new product but if you compare the DFF1 to the internal sounder of TZT2, I believe most people gave the slight edge to DFF1 because it was standalone sounder and processing of the data is done by the DFF1 and networked into the system, instead of internally of the TZT2. The TZT3 processor is a quad-core processor and much faster than the TZT2 processor, so I don’t think processing the data is going to be much of an issue for TZT3. If there is an edge over one or the other, it’s going to be very minor and I don’t think it would be something you would notice on TZT3 fish finding screen.
